Join in prayer with the faithful of Indianapolis on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
St. John the Evangelist Parish is hosting an outdoor eucharistic procession and rally from 9-11 a.m. on Dec. 12, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, to pray for peace in our country.
The event is free, however, registration is required, and attendance is limited to 250.
Participants will gather at 9 a.m. outside St. John the Evangelist Church at Georgia and Capitol streets. Led by the Eucharist, the group will process five blocks to the south side of Monument Circle for adoration and the Patriotic Rosary from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The group will then reverse route, ending with Benediction at St. John the Evangelist Church at 11 a.m.
If parking is not available in the church lot at 126 W. Georgia St., use the adjacent garages on Capitol Ave. (Plaza Park Garage) or Illinois St. (World Wonders Garage).
At least 10 volunteers are needed for this event—contact Eric Slaughter at 317-408-0528 to help.
The event is free, although donations to offset security and safety measures will be accepted at soldiersforpeace.org. For those unable to walk, the church will remain open for prayer for a maximum of 250 people from 9-11 a.m.
Please follow all local COVID-19 advisories, including wearing face masks if social distancing is not possible.
This event is non-political. Please do not bring political signs. We also request that you do not wear clothing with political or campaign statements.
