Our Lady of the Rosary in Detroit, Michigan to Host Eucharistic Procession

Detroit, Michigan—A Eucharistic procession and rosary will be held on October 31 at Our Lady of the Rosary, 5930 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48202 at 11:30 A.M. Sponsored by Men of Christ, Catholic Men United and iNVICTUS CHRISTUS, the procession is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. This event, part of the nationwide movement Unite Our Nation, is prayerful, non-political and family-friendly.

Designed to help bring peace and prayer to Detroit, Michigan, and healing to our nation, it is being planned by local organizers. Clergy will lead the procession and everyone is invited to pray the patriotic rosary for all fifty states.

According to Darren O’Brien, event organizer, “In these challenging times, we see the grave need for faithful Catholics everywhere to rally around the Eucharist and unite with Our Blessed Mother. God is calling His people. We need to storm heaven with prayer and spiritual reparation. So that we can pour out God’s mercy. Literally, we look to flood our cities with the cleansing waters of God’s love and healing grace. ”

The procession will start at 11:30 A.M. at Our Lady of the Rosary with confessions, adoration and a priestly exhortation.  Attendees will then process to the Sweetest Heart of Mary Church, 4440 Russell St, Detroit, Michigan for benediction and a recitation of the patriotic rosary. The procession ends at St. Joseph Shrine, 1828 Jay St, Detroit, Michigan for a final benediction, the repose of the Blessed Sacrament and an inspirational speaker.

Buses will be available to take attendees back to Our Lady of the Rosary at the conclusion of the processional event.
