Springfield, Illinois—A Eucharistic procession and rosary will be held on October 10 at Sacred Heart Church, 722 S. 12th Street, Springfield, Illinois 62703 at 11:00 A.M. Sponsored by St. Charles Borromeo Society, the procession is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. This event, part of the nationwide movement Unite Our Nation, is prayerful, non-political and family-friendly.
Designed to help bring peace and prayer to Springfield, Illinois, and healing to our nation, it is being planned by local organizers. Clergy will lead the procession and everyone is invited to pray the patriotic rosary for all fifty states.
According to Lisa Bergman, event organizer, “This is a peaceful, family-friendly event and all are welcome. We hope many will join the faithful citizens of Illinois as we pray for our state and nation at the Capitol.”
Parking is available in the lot behind Sacred Heart Church or on the street nearby. Everyone will meet at 11:00 AM and at 11:30 process to an altar near the Lincoln Memorial on the east side of the State Capitol, where they will pray the Rosary and Benediction, and then process back to Sacred Heart Church.
